Who are we?

Hi, we’re Ben and Abby! We’re creatives and romantics choosing to live the Art Life. We’re based in Ohio but travel to any destination.

We’ve spent years in the creative fields - filming commercials all over the United States, designing campaigns for national brands, and telling the stories of local artists and organizations. We love to travel and see the beauty this world has to offer - both in the natural landscape and in the people we meet along the way.

We’re passionate about collaboration and telling human stories and making wedding films is a lovely way to capture and celebrate love between two people.

 FAQs

  • It’s a gorgeous way to tell a story. It’s not easy, it’s not quick. You can’t see the product right away, but when the footage comes back from the lab, there’s magic in those frames. That’s why we love shooting on 16mm film. There’s simply nothing like it. It’s art. The beauty is in the imperfections.

  • It really depends on what you’re looking for and the scope of your wedding film. There’s no getting around the fact that film is an expensive medium. There’s the cost of the film itself as well as the lab processing and scanning fees. Every foot of film adds to the material cost.

That being said, it is worth the investment. Nothing can compare to the softness and color. The timeless feel. It is a one-of-a-kind medium that digital cannot replicate.

  • 16mm and 8mm are two different sizes of film formats. Think of it like video resolution. As the size increases, the amount of detail captured increases and the grain gets smaller.

8mm tends to be grainy and fuzzy due to the tiny frame size. 16mm is the sweet spot to give that vintage look and feel while still retaining details.

That’s why we shoot exclusively on 16mm film.
