16mm Wedding | The Club at Hillbrook
Hannah and Dan reached out to me on instagram and asked if I would shoot their wedding on 16mm. I hadn’t filmed a wedding in years, having moved to filming commercial work, but I met with them and discussed. They were lovely people and passionate about capturing their day in this way, so I accepted the project. I dusted off the Bolex and set to work.
It was a gorgeous summer day in Chagrin Falls, Ohio celebrating the love of two kind and positive people. Their venue was the Club at Hillbrook, an elegant early 1900s Tudor mansion turned private club and venue. Dripping with character and old world charm, Hillbrook was a visual delight on film.
The hum of the camera was a constant soundtrack throughout the day. Laughter. Tears. Tiny warm moments. I felt grateful to be there and capture it all.
Saying yes to opportunities we’re unsure of is so important for growth. It helps us reframe our career journey and find little pockets of satisfaction along the way.
I’m grateful to continue making work on film - I love the look and the process so much. It is a privilege to live this life of creating things with good people.
